Rinse and repeat
Finger-comb my sins,
choose the one you’ll repent for
tonight, again,
and again.
Introduce me
to the fifty or more shades of grey,
permeating through
the perfect whites
and horrid blacks
of this world.
Remorse,
forgive,
console,
forget,
rinse and repeat,
again and again and again.
Burn up these eyes,
with scenes of sinners
on their knees.
Take this body,
hang it behind your door,
and pray for life
to shout down it’s ears.
